Story Boldly is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization whose mission is to tell engaging stories about important chapters in history and teach others how to use digital media to share stories that matter. For over 20 years, Story Boldly’s founders have been creating content to advance the conversation about important issues through film and educational opportunities. We believe the shortest distance between truth and change are good stories.

Nice to Meet You

David Ono
David Ono is the co-anchor for ABC7 Eyewitness News at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Since joining ABC7 in 1996, David has witnessed history worldwide, covering Hurricane Katrina, Haiti's earthquake and Japan's tsunami. He traveled across Europe and Asia chronicling brave acts of the Nisei soldier from World War II. He attended the Royal Wedding in London, tracked drug runners through Central America and reported from Paris on a terrorist plot to bring down the Eiffel Tower.

Ono has trained with the FBI and the elite Los Angeles Sheriff's SWAT team. President Obama invited him to the White House for an exclusive interview. And he witnessed white smoke at the Vatican twice - in 2005 for the selection of Pope Benedict the 16th and 2013 for the selection of Pope Francis.

He has won seven Edward R. Murrow awards and 23 Emmy Awards.

Jeff MacIntyre

Jeff MacIntyre is passionate about finding and telling stories that matter. He has been producing, shooting and editing broadcast and documentary content for over two decades. 50 countries and 18 Emmy Awards later, Jeff believes everyone has a rich story and loves traveling the world to tell them.

He is the owner of the Los Angeles-based production company, Content Media Group.

Simrin Singh
A recent graduate of USC Annenberg, Simrin aims to share stories that are rarely told. Stories that take into account the perspectives of the diverse population the news serves. She has experience writing news articles, producing podcasts and editing video pieces for TV and social media. Right now, Simrin is most interested in leveraging new digital platforms and technologies as tools for comprehensive storytelling.

Sophia Lessos
Currently, Sophia Lesseos is a Special Projects News Intern and Production Assistant at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Lesseos is a Broadcast Journalism Major at California State University, Northridge and transferred from College of the Canyons with her Associates of Arts in Journalism. She is currently the President of the Radio Television Digital News Association and a Broadcast News reporter and writer for KCSN Radio Station at CSUN. Lesseos’s long term goal is to help change the world through storytelling.
